Alan meets Sir Clive Loader

20 February 2013

On Friday 8th February Alan met recently elected Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicestershire and Rutland, Sir Clive Loader at Force HQ in Enderby, Leics.

Sir Clive was elected as the region’s first Police and Crime Commissioner in November 2012, replacing the previous police authority.

During the meeting Alan and Sir Clive discussed policing priorities for Leicestershire and Rutland as well as Sir Clive’s draft police and crime plan, which aims to cut down on red tape and increase the number of officers on front line duty. The plan is currently open for consultation until 10 March.

After the meeting Alan said: ‘It was good to see Sir Clive firmly in place at Force HQ. I have always said that Sir Clive will prove himself to be the best Police Commissioner in the country and judging by his impressive draft plan we can expect to see some concrete improvements in local policing as well as much greater transparency in the process.’
