Alan calls for new Melton Post Office provider

Alan has today a call for bids to take over the operation of the Melton Mowbray Post Office branch.

The current operators, the Co-Op, have handed in their 12 month notice period having indicated that they wished to give up the branch. The Post Office is therefore inviting local businesses that might be interested in taking over operation of the Melton Mowbray branch to apply.

Further information on the details of the role can be found at:,3465985259&key=5952013&c=357641612372&pagestamp=seejkyzrjptperhbfv

The deadline for registering interest is Monday 3rd August 2015.

Alan said: ‘Melton cannot go without this branch, and it is vital that the Post Office works with potential operators who might be willing and able to take over its running. The Post Office has asked me to raise awareness about these changes and I am happy to do so. I would encourage any appropriate potential provider to get in touch with the Post Office and find out more.’
