Alan calls for Urgent Care consultation responses

Alan has urged constituents to have their say on proposed improvements to the level of urgent care cover in the area.

The proposed changes would see more money invested in urgent care in Rutland & Melton, with 15 extra hours during weekdays being provided through extending coverage until 9pm as well as much greater weekend cover.

The East Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) launched the consultation which will run until Friday 18th April.

Drop-in sessions run by the CCG to discuss the changes will take place in Market Harborough on Thursday 27th February, Melton Mowbray on Thursday 6th March and Oakham on Wednesday 26th March. Constituents can register to attend by calling 0116 295 4183.

Alan said: ‘This is a real chance to secure much greater Urgent Care coverage in Rutland & Melton. Extended service on weekday evenings and on weekends would be welcomed by everyone. The CCG are keen, but patients now need to make their voices heard by responding to this consultation so we can guarantee these improvements.’
