Alan meets Young Social Action Ambassador

On Saturday 20th September Sir Alan met Adam Tate, the Young Social Action Ambassador for Leicestershire, Rutland and S. Lincs.

Adam met Sir Alan to highlight his role in facilitating and championing outstanding volunteer activity across the constituency. There are 49 Young Social Action Ambassadors aged between 16 and 25 across the country, with 5 covering the East Midlands. Ambassadors are working with their local MPs, Councils, Police, Ambulance and Fire Services to build up case studies for the UK Government. Exceptional cases are put forward for the Point of Light Award, a new national recognition given out by the Prime Minister.

Sir Alan said: ‘Adam is a great ambassador for social action across Rutland & Melton. There is such as spirit of volunteerism across Rutland & Melton that there will be no shortage of examples for him to champion, and I wish him well in his role.’
