Alan sends condolences for Rutland Council Leader's death

  • Feb 1, 2016

Alan has expressed his condolences for the death of Rutand County Council Leader Roger Begy this morning, after a short illness.

Roger had served as Leader of the Council since 2003 and he and Alan worked closely together over that time.

Alan said: ‘Roger was a fantastic Leader of the Council and a devoted Rutlander. He was everything a Council Leader should be – diligent, shrewd and self-deprecating. His contribution to the county was huge and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.’
