Alan supports bid for cricket development

Alan Duncan MP has lent his support to Houghton on the Hill Cricket Club's application for funding from Sport England's Inspired Facilities Fund.

In a letter to the Club's chairman, John Kerry, Alan emphasised the importance that the grant would play in allowing the club to redevelop the pavilion and build new coaching facilities.

The Cricket Club already has a large membership base, which it has already been able to increase as a result of free coaching that it provides to local schools.

Commenting on the bid, Alan said: 'The bid presents a fantastic opportunity for Houghton on the Hill Cricket Club to continue to develop and grow its membership and facilities. I am very pleased to offer my support.'
