Alan visits Change Agents

On Friday 1st June, Alan visited Change Agents at Oakham railway station to meet its award-winning team.

Change Agents works with Rutland County Council and other agencies to help customers save on their energy bills and promote environmental sustainability.

In April 2012, Change Agents Oakham received the Community Footprint Award for their project 'Energy Action 4 Rutland', which seeks to reduce fuel poverty and carbon reduction nationally. Energy Action 4 Rutland has helped over 200 homeowners receive free audits, helping them to reduce their energy bills.

Alan said: "Energy Action 4 Rutland is playing an important role in tackling fuel poverty within the community and I welcome the work the team have done to share their project model with other local authorities, charities and organisations in neighbouring counties."
