Alan has warmly welcomed the decision to refuse permission for a controversial wind turbine in Somerby.
The application was originally approved in January, but after procedural concerns were raised the Council agreed to a Special Planning Committee Meeting, which last week turned the proposals down.
Alan was strongly critical of the original decision and submitted his objection to the application ahead of the final vote last week.
Alan said: 'I am delighted this turbine has been refused and that councillors have seen fit to overturn their original decision. It was clear to me at the time that nobody in Somerby wanted this turbine and I am sure there will be huge relief that the prospect of it being imposed on them has finally been lifted.’
