Alan has welcomed the news that the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government has confirmed he will recover the appeals into two proposed turbines in Thorpe Satchville, Leicestershire.
Alan had previously called on the Secretary of State to make the final decision, following residents' concern about the format of the planned appels.
In a letter to Alan, the DCLG confirmed that, following a Planning Inspectorate hearing, the Secretary of State will now determine whether the turbines are to be approved.
Alan said: 'It is good news that the final decision will now lie with the Secretary of State, as residents had called for, rather than an unknown Planning Inspector.
While this is obviously not an indicator of which way the decision will ultimately go, it is good to know that it will at least lie with the Secretrary of State himself.'
