Sporty Students write to Prime Minister

Alan visited Redmile Primary School on Friday 14th January to discuss the funding of sport in school. He was met by Head teacher Julie Hopkins as well as Belvoir High School students and sports ambassadors Jasmin Southam and Claire Hopkins.

The students have written to the Prime Minster stressing the importance of sport in school. Mr Duncan was then invited to observe Redmile’s after-school sports club in action at close quarters.

Alan said: ‘Young people are our future and these students are seizing their right to have a say in that future. It was inspiring to see so many not just involved in sport at school, but passionate about it and its ability to bring people together and broaden their horizons.
